Culprits: The Minneapolis Fishing Banditos City Fishing Club- Members span from Minneapolis Minnesota, to Chicago, Illinois, to New York City to Canada. And international fisherman outside North America are always welcome. We love catching big city fish under some of the hardest fishing pressure conditions, and love catching untouched fish from pristine waters. It's fun in the city to catch a fish and say I caught this exact same fish before. In the wilderness it's wonderful to be the first person to a catch a fish. Location : City Fishing- The Mississippi River, Lake Calhoun, Lake Harriet, Lake of the Isles, Cedar Lake, Lake Hiawatha. Suburbs Fishing- White Bear Lake, Lake Waconia, Lake Minnetonka, St. Croix River, Minnesota River, White Bear Lake, Lake Waconia, Lake Minnetonka. BWCA (Boundary Waters Canoe Area) and Quetico Provincial Park are cool. Important Fishing Gear, Tackle, and Lures : Spinnerbaits, jigs, Rubber frogs, Small Bobbers, High quality fishing line, medium slip sinkers, stiff rods, bait casting reels. Fishing Bait : Nightcrawlers over worms, frogs over nightcrawlers, corn!?! Techniques : Finding good weeds and weed lines is critical to finding the good bass fishing spots in Lakes. For river smallies, look very close to the shore, I telling you, VERY CLOSE. Use small baits and slow presentations. For the biggest river smallies go a little deeper, and bigger( be prepared for lots of city snaggal-puss activity, and watch out for large plastic bags that float by). |
