This ciclid was caught in Lake Minnetonka while fishing for sunfish. Who
know what down their mixed in with the sunnies. You never know what
you're going to catch in the cities. This again is probably an aquarium
fish. In looking at all of the exotic species being found in Minnesota. It seems clear that people aren't being educated on the danger this sort of introduction poses to the ecosystem. One of these species could be the next Millfoil, or zebra mussle. Minnesota Record: To my knowledge this is the largest Ciclid of this species to have ever been caught in Minnesota water. |
