Bazzar new species caught on river! ( new species ? )
Finaly, Success! Some fisherpeople might rate the year based on the size of the biggest fish.
This bandito like many of our more "gifted" ones, rates his success in terms of strange or odd
occurances and or bazzarest fish. Smiling in complete satisfaction, this bandito shows off his
trophy catch- a prized Lamprey. Having been previously bitten by a red breasted piranha(in the Mississippi River)
this bandito displays a careful hand hold of this beast. This was three years in the making.
We had observed these creatures once before. Unfortunately, last time the specimen fell off the affected host fish.
This time we were prepared. The bandito had been taking a custom designed landing net with very small
netting just for this. He had carefully fought the affected pike, bringing it gently in so as to
not spook the parisitic lamprey off. On first look you would think it was simply a leech. BUT IT'S NOT!
It's got eyes that are looking at you!!
Once in the net(still in the water), he grabed the head and
squeezed it causing it to release its powerful suction grip. At this point it swam quickly.
But it was too late. the bandito had it. Nice! This is a small one, we know there are much larger
individuals out there. we have on occassion seen large scars that could easily represent
2ft long specimens!
NOTE: We are currently debating whether to sample this strange looking creature or have it mounted for the bandito hall of fame museum. its small size would make it difficult to divide amoung all those who would like to have a taste.
City, river and lake fishing can be like a vacation away. If you havent tried it you might
be amazed. Some of you may know better spots and improved methods to catch fish.
If you would like to share some knowledge please email us.
or if you prefer private disscussions are also more than welcome.
